Because of our love and concern for families with deaf members, the Deaf Ministry is committed to:

• Teaching the Bible
• Ministering to the needs of the deaf and their families
• Encouraging/Promoting deaf, hard of hearing and oral people to lead and minister to others
• Encouraging hearing people to learn to communicate with deaf people by learning sign language
• Encouraging participation in retreats, seminars and conferences for the deaf, hard of hearing and oral.
• Mentoring individuals and families
• Presenting Jesus Christ as personal Savior.

WORSHIP/BIBLE STUDY Opportunities                                              

SUNDAYS - Interpreted Worship Services - 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. 

Bible Study Class meets Sundays at 9:00a.m. in Room 313.  We have a great time of fellowship.  Come and join us!

WEDNESDAYS - Fellowship Supper at 4:45 p.m., followed by Women's Bible Study for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m.

DEAF MINISTRY Sign Language Classes – Sign Language classes meet on Wednesday, at 6 p.m. on the 3rd floor.  There is also a Deaf Women's Bible Study on Wednesday, in room 313.  Contact by e-mail: KWGrothe@aol.com. for more information, or contact one of the persons listed below.

Opportunities of Service and Involvement

VALUES FOR LIFE - A ministry to deaf students at the Mississippi School for the Deaf

VISITATION PROGRAM - An outreach program to the deaf community.

LADIES RETREAT - Once a year, usually in October.

AFFILIATIONS - Mississippi Baptist Conference of the Deaf (MBCD) and Southern Baptist Conference of the Deaf (SBCD).
